The community of Holy Name CES will once again be partnering with the King Township Food Bank to assist families in need during this season of gratitude for all of God’s blessings. We will be participating in a Thanksgiving Fall Food Drive during the week of October 2nd to 6th.
On Friday September 29th, we will recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, known as Orange Shirt Day. All Canadians are invited to wear an orange shirt to honour Indigenous people and to show a commitment to the idea that every child matters. Wednesday September 27th, Students and staff will be recognizing Rowan’s Law Day. Rowan’s Law was named for Rowan Stringer, a high school rugby player from Ottawa, who died in the spring of 2013 from a condition known as second impact syndrome (swelling of the brain caused by a subsequent injury that occurred before a previous injury healed).
