Orange Shirt Day: September 29th

Rowan’s Law Day at Holy Name: Wed.Sept.27th

Wednesday September 27th, Students and staff will be recognizing Rowan’s Law Day. Rowan’s Law was named for Rowan Stringer, a high school rugby player from Ottawa, who died in the spring of 2013 from a condition known as second impact syndrome (swelling of the brain caused by a subsequent injury that occurred before a previous injury healed). Photo Day: Wednesday October 4th

Our school Photo Day will be on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023. Class group photos and individual photos will be taken on this day. Proof cards will be delivered to the school 3-5 after and will include all ordering information. Picture Re-Take Day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14th.

 

PEDICULOSIS (HEAD LICE)

The York Catholic District School Board recognizes concerns related to pediculosis (head lice) at the school and community level. Pediculosis (head lice) are not a public hazard, as they do not cause illness, but they are a nuisance.
