On Wednesday, May 1, 2019 the grade 8 students at Holy Name will be conducting their first “I can make a difference day!” challenge as part of the ICAN – Inclusive Community Ambassador Network initiative which commenced in January 2019. Our students and staff will be challenged to consciously do something that day that will make others in the school feel valued and accepted for who they are. This day will celebrate people’s strengths and bring an awareness to the impact of positive words and actions. It will promote a sense of well being, creating a safe, caring environment for all to learn and play. We look forward to rising to this challenge and being the change we want to see in the world – in our school!
